It’s 28th October 2026, and my first book, The Nothing Much Girl, has just been published as an Amazon Kindle eBook.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://stellarartist.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/20261023-Book-Published-264×300.jpg” title_text=”Book Published!!” align=”center” _builder_version=”4.27.9″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”et_body_layout”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_image src=”https://stellarartist.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/20261022-Published-Book-Cover-724×1024.png” title_text=”The Nothing Much Girl” align=”center” _builder_version=”4.27.9″ _module_preset=”default” border_radii=”on|6px|6px|6px|6px” border_width_all=”2px” border_color_all=”#000000″ global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”et_body_layout”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.9″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”||10px|25px|false|false” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”et_body_layout”]

It’s a mixture of excitement and relief. Relief, after spending many months remembering my childhood years and documenting them in this book. So what’s it all about?

I grew up on a large dairy farm that bordered the Hawkesbury River in New South Wales, Australia. I knew only my grandparents, and nothing about my parents.

Life was idyllic, and the book cover image says it all. Here’s what it says on the Amazon website about the book. If you search for it there, everything will be explained:

The Nothing Much Girl
“As a little girl on her grandparents’ Australian farm, Linny knows what it feels like to be safe. She has Granddad’s Clydesdales, Grandma’s warm kitchen, and a world of paddocks, animals, and open skies.

Then she is taken away from the only home she has ever known.
Across years of upheaval—from a cold shed and a country barn to a city house, England, and New Zealand—Linny learns to survive by disappearing. She hides beneath floorboards, in the bush, and inside the pages of books, holding on to memories of her grandparents and the animals who once made her feel protected.

As the danger and isolation deepen, even the people she hopes will help turn away.
But the girl who learns to endure grows into a woman determined to claim a life of her own. She escapes, trains as a nurse, builds a family, and returns to education as a mature student—reclaiming, piece by piece, the future that once seemed impossible.

Told through vivid memories of farms, animals, landscapes, and the people who shaped her, The Nothing Much Girl is a memoir of childhood abuse, family betrayal, resilience, and the long journey from fear toward independence.”

If you choose to get the book, I’d greatly appreciate it if you’d share your honest opinion by leaving an Amazon review and star rating.

Thank you in advance, Linny!
